Terms and conditions for using and contributing to the Wassāch - وسّاچ platform.

Wassāch - وسّاچ Contribution License

By submitting contributions to Wassāch - وسّاچ , you agree to license your content under the terms specified below. This license is designed to protect the Balochi language community while enabling technological advancement.

Grant of License:

You hereby grant to Wassāch - وسّاچ and its contributors a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and create derivative works from your contributions solely for the purposes of:

  • Developing Balochi language processing technologies
  • Creating natural language processing tools and applications
  • Advancing research in Balochi linguistics and AI
  • Building educational resources for the Balochi community

Restrictions:

Notwithstanding the license granted above, you expressly prohibit the use of your contributions for:

  • Personal commercial gain or profit-making activities
  • Any unethical, harmful, or discriminatory purposes
  • Applications that could damage the Balochi language or culture
  • Unauthorized redistribution outside the Wassāch - وسّاچ ecosystem

Data Usage Terms

All data collected through Wassāch - وسّاچ is dedicated exclusively to the advancement of Balochi language technology. Contributors retain moral rights to their content while granting functional rights for technological development.

Copyright (c) 2025 Wassāch - وسّاچ Contributors Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this data for use in Balochi language technology development, to deal in the data without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, and/or sell copies of the data, and to permit persons to whom the data is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions: 1. The data shall only be used for Balochi language technology, NLP, and related future technologies. 2. The data shall not be used for personal gain, unethical purposes, or activities harmful to the Balochi community. 3. Any derivative works must maintain this license and attribution to Wassāch - وسّاچ . 4. This license does not grant rights to use the data for commercial purposes outside the Balochi project scope. THE DATA IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE DATA OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE DATA.

Attribution and Credits

While individual contributions may be anonymized for privacy, we encourage proper attribution where appropriate. Contributors are recognized as vital members of the Wassāch - وسّاچ community and the broader effort to preserve and advance the Balochi language through technology.

Community Recognition:

  • Contributors will be acknowledged in project documentation
  • Community leaderboards and recognition programs
  • Opportunities to participate in project development
  • Access to exclusive Wassāch - وسّاچ resources and updates
